This comprehensive package comprises three components;

  • Sit the online GOLA test of theoretical knowledge.
  • Undertake the practical assessment.
  • Choose any one of our 9 branch assessment locations;

The GOLA test of theoretical knowledge and the practical assessment will take no more than a half-day so by choosing our nearest branch office to you will mean no more than one day away from your workplace.

The GOLA test and practical assessment will test your knowledge and competence in a number of areas, including;

Theoretical Assessment Practical Assessment
Basic thermodynamics Brazing piece
Basic refrigeration cycle Pressure testing
Knowledge of key components & risk of leakage Refrigerant charging & recovery Inspect for leaks.
Identify the condition & physical state of refrigerant Rectification of leaks & re-inspection
Determine system operating performance & efficiency Connecting & disconnecting gauges.
Monitoring system performance for signs of leakage
Understanding the environmental impact of F gases
Demonstrating knowledge of equipment record-keeping requirements

A pass in both the GOLA test of theoretical knowledge and the practical assessment will lead to certification to City & Guilds Level 2 award in F-Gas and ODS Regulations (2079) – Category I or Category II.

The Silver package is competitively priced at £250.
